Recollections from the author of working for the Union Steam Ship Company as an office junior in Wellington from 1946.
P.7.The author notes that there were 43 vessels in the company's fleet in January 1946, and lists 33 of them with brief details of the activities of each of them at that time.

P.8. Also covered are the NARBADA, belonging to a subsidiary company, and the two vessels of the United Baltic Corporation Ltd of which the Union Company was the agent.

P.9. Includes a list (without further detail) of vessels on charter to the Union Company, all employed in the trans-Pacific trade in January 1946.
P.47.Brief details are given of the ships and activities of the Eastern and Australian Steamshp Co. Ltd.
